Orland Park: a great place to call home
The Residences at Fountain Hills is located on the south end of the Village of Orland Park, one of Chicago’s top suburbs. In 2006, Money Magazine ranked Orland Park as the 45th best place to live in America.
Orland Park serves its 56,000-plus residents with local hiking and biking trails, wildlife refuges, greenbelts, a Sportsplex and an aquatic center. Lake Sedgewick, in the heart of Centennial Park, is a 95-acre lake perfect for fishing and boating. And for golfers it doesn’t get much better. Boldly written across the water tower is “World’s Golf Center.” Orland Park is home to 5 golf courses and within a short drive to dozens more in neighboring communities.
For downtown Chicago commuters, on a normal traffic day you can drive to Chicago’s Loop in less than 45 minutes. Fountain Hills is less than a mile from I-80. Or avoid the drive – the Orland Park 179th Street Metra station is a 5 minute car ride from Fountain Hills. A typical commute to downtown’s Union Station is less than an hour.
While there are plenty of parking spots available, you can bypass the parking by walking the less than 1 ¼ mile distance. On the way are several stores including a Starbucks!
Orland Park's 179th Street Metra stop connects the residents of Fountain Hills to downtown Chicago.
